Resuscitation VR for Paediatrics – Bronchiolitis (Advanced)

Description

A 9-month-old male infant has been brought in by his mother due becoming increasingly ill. The child is working to breathe, has a wheezy chest and hasn’t been eating well. The user will need to obtain a history from the mother, observe the patient’s behaviours and vitals to recognise the infection. Appropriate airway/oxygen interventions must be carried out, with an effective treatment applied prior to transferring the patient.

Learning objectives

  • The objective will be to practice the recognition and management of bronchiolitis, particularly how to assess the severity of the infection and appropriate airway management. The user must learn how to think and act under pressure while making time-sensitive decisions.
